People in Japan and all over the world continue to watch nervously as the drama plays out at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station.
The biggest potential threat is the possible release of plutonium-enriched uranium fuel known as MOX, which is used in only one of Fukushima's six reactors.
Officials report that so far the containment vessel in that reactor, No. 3, appears to be holding.
But the next 36 hours will be crucial in determining whether Japan's nuclear disaster unfolds like the U.S. Three Mile Island accident in 1979

or like the meltdown at Russia's Chernobyl plant in 1986
