++2013 Korea|2nd day|Jeju Island

descriptions:
++ sejurus selepas menghadapi breakfast roti & scrambled eggs prepared by imahan, kami pon mula keluar rumah...
(roti, telur, coffee, drinking water were being provided in the guesthouse. like!)
but, before start jalan, we took pic with ahjussi. dia ni muke alala senyum x ikhlas, taksure ape perasaan dia, marah ke, suke ke? tp at the end of the trip, after each lunch & dinner together and sharing stories with him, we were feeling warmth inside, gittew. perasaan rindu yg x tergambar cewah.

++ the 1st destination was actually Jungmun beach, but we were excited looking at the barley field near olle guesthouse that ahjussi had to stop because we wanted to take picture. but ofcourse!

++ Jungmun beach  - ahjussi silap bawak kitorg, dia pi park jauh kat atas bukit, mase turun bukit tu oklah kan sbb turun bukit/tangga kan, tp, bile nak naik tu, agak patah lah jugak kaki acik ni. acik dahla xde stamina, berat atas lak tu. terus rase kurus mcm nasha aziz selepas balik (bla lah luh)

tgk betapa jauhnye kebawah sanunnnnnnnnn

 dah turun tangga, turun bukit pulaaaaaaaaa

dgn matsaleh memane ntah pon dia nak amek gamba tuh.. pffttt

inilah trail yg kitorg kena daki to get back to our van! mcm nak mampuih nih...

++ next, we proceed to Jusangjeollidae
ia adalah sebuah cliff yg terbentuk dari lahar2 gunung berapi. gittew penerangan aku. lahar cinta katenyer.
From visitkorea website (senang, tapayah aku nak pikir ayat bombastic nak terangkannye):
"The Jusangjeolli are stone pillars piled up along the coast and is a designated cultural monument of Jejudo Island. The Jusangjeolli was formed when the lava from Mt.Hallasan erupted into the sea of Jungmun. They are rock pillars shaped like cubes or hexagons of various sizes and almost seem as if stonemasons had carved them out. The administration of the district named them 'Jisatgae Rocks' from their old name 'Jisatgae'. Its 20 m cliff makes it a popular spot for high tide, sea angling. The waves of the high tides crashing into the side of the cliff provide a breathtaking view of the ocean surrounding the pillars."

inilah cliff tersebut...

selain suke begamba dgn matsaleh, saye juge suke bebenolah begamba dgn koreans, tp saye pilih2 yg nampak sporting je...

dlm kes dibawah ini, diorg yg nak bergambar dgn saye. ohwel, artis katenyer~

inilah cliff tersebut...

selain suke begamba dgn matsaleh, saye juge suke bebenolah begamba dgn koreans, tp saye pilih2 yg nampak sporting je...

++ setelah penat bergambar (bukannye penat bejalan haahaha), kami pon lapar dan headed to have lunch at halmang thukbaegi
(kejap omputih kojap melayu kojap bahaso nogori kojap bahaso sabah kojap kelate kojap utaghaa kojap bahaso keyhell, i am multiracial liddat
(padahal nampak sgt melayunye)
(tp atlis aku takdela mcm korg yg suke ngumpat dlm bahasa cina dlm the same lift pastu kwn aku yg cina lg sorg tu bgtau yg ko ngumpat aku pastu ko sebok dok ckp antiracism la bersih la blablabla tp korg tu yg racist gilerbabi moerkhhhh)
(eh eh emo lak, rileklah) abuwahahaha gelak pon sensorg je)
halmang tuh stands for nenek (kate irina). so, kirenye ni kedai nenek ekau. haha.
menurut kajian terdahulu dari irina & selepas sesi translate2 melalui perantara kami yakni ahjussi dgn owner restoren ni, restoren ni menyediakan seafood dish, dan broth nye pon bukan nya dari daging mahupon ayam, tp guna ikan bilis, so, dijamin xde pork/any meat lah.
as usual, koreans cant really speako englisho, tp, nasibaik ade ahjussi menemani kami kemana sahaja, dia tlg kami translate and order.
we ordered mackarel bakar, sup hairtailfish, seafood campo2 mcm tomyam tp bukan tomyam (sebenanye aku tatau ape name dish tersebut).
kenyang nya sampai terkeluar perut, tersandar dan x boleh bangun.
total semuanya 71,000 for 6person tp kami share bahagi 5 org je, belanje ahjussi. so sorg dlm 14,000 won (sila jgn convert)
(hehe ohwel aku gatal, aku convert lah, sorg rm40++.
OMG!, tp, sbb mmg tujuannye we all wanted to taste all the korean foods in korea, so, mmg dah budgettable gituh)

-name makanan yg mcm tomyam tu ialah haemul tthukbaegi (seafood stew in an earthenware pot)...

ialah muka sebelom..

ialah muka selepas...

inilah didepan kedai itu..

inilah muka2 kelaparan...

inilah ahjussi yg muka undescribable..

inilah seafood masak mcm tomyam tp bukan tomyam..

inilah mackarel bakar yg sgt sedap sekals.... ahhh sedapnya teringat pula...

++ selepas kekenyangan itu, kami pon berlalu pergi ke Cheonjiyeon Waterfall
again, copypasted from visitkorea webpage:
"Literally, the name Cheonjiyeon means sky (Ch'eon) connected with land (ji). It is 22 m (72 ft) high and 12 m (39 ft) wide. Though water always falls in one particular area, depending on the amount of recent rain, the water may spread out. At the bottom of the waterfall is an artificial pond that is 20 m (66 ft) deep. Two small dams help keep the water at a specific level. Large volcanic rocks form landbridges that allow tourists to pose for photographs in front of the falls. These falls are characterized by its trachyte andesite rocks. The source of Cheonjiyeon Waterfall is a spring that comes out of the floor of the Somban Stream. The stream Yeonhee-chun is the source of the waterfall. In order to reach the waterfall, visitors must walk on a landscaped trail. Near the beginning of the path is a traditional Korean raft called t'e-u (테우), symbolizing Korean culture. It is the most popular at night, because the falls are illuminated. At night, the "Hidden Face," a formation of rocks, may be visible with the night lights, and the falls are popular for lovers."

hahaha photobomb..

++ Seonimgyo
hehehe, actually kitorg x sure yg kitorg pegi ni seonimgyo ke bridge yg bebeda... tp, blasah je la kan...
as usual, let the google talk...
from wiki: "Seonimgyo Bridge is an arch bridge on Jeju Island over Cheonjeyeon Waterfall that has seven nymphs carved on both sides.[1][2] It crosses from east to west over the stream between the second and third tiers of Cheonjeyeon waterfall.[3] The bridge is also called Chilseonyeogyo (칠선녀교) or Seven Nymphs Bridge.[2] The nymphs symbolize the Korean legend of the descent of seven beautiful nymphs from heaven at night.[1] Seonimgyo Bridge is the first bridge with Ojakgyo (오작교) design in the region.[4] It was completed in 1984, and cost the Korea Tourism Organization about 400 million won to construct.[5] There is a fee for tourists who use the bridge.[5] There are 100 guard rails and 34 stone lanterns which light up at night.[4] On the bridge's steel columns, there are 14 nymphs, 7 on each side with each nymph about 20 m in length.[3] All the nymphs are playing their own musical instruments"

ok konfem kitorg dah gi bridge yg salah sbb bridge yg kitorg pegi tu free jer, yg ni patutnye kene bayar... maybe ahjussi tak paham ape yg kami mahukan...

ohwell, mcm biasele gamba pepelik kan. lebih baik jgn berkawan je dgn kitorg ni, kite mmg pelik sokmo. tu pasalla semua pon x kawen2 lagi. ala adeje org dah kawen tp lagi pelik saiko dari kite. hehe.

monno seksi giler, tepakse aku potong dada nya hahahahhahahaha. tp nak jugak letak gamba berupa terpotong ditengah2 ni kan, sbb aku rase lompatan aku agak agung. begitttew.

++ Jeongbang Waterfall
Ok yg ni kitorg pergi ditempat yg tulen bang. fee is 2000won.
from visitkorea:"Jeongbang Falls (정방폭포) is only water fall in Asia that falls directly into the ocean. On the wall of the water fall, there is an inscription written “Seobulgwacha”, referring to Seobul passing by this place. Seobul was a servant of the Chinese Emperor Jin (BC 259~210) who was ordered by the Emperor to find the substance that would make him immortal. Seogwipo is also said to have gotten its name to mean Seobul headed back west.
Jeongbang Waterfall is situated by a high cliff by the sea, and an old evergreen stands there leaning back as if it would fall into the ocean. Go east for about 300 meters and you will see another waterfall called Sojeongbang Waterfall. It is a great place to relax during the summer. There is an observatory at the top of the cliff, from which you can command a fine view of the sea."

aduiyai kene jalan jauhhh kot nak ke waterfall ni... adudududu

sakit2 pinggang acik ni..

++ 제주올레 Jeju Olle Trail
from visitkorea: "In the local Jeju dialect “Olle (올레)” was originally used to refer to the narrow path between the street and one’s doorstep. In the past, the word was quite commonly used, as children would often say, “let’s meet at the olle”. However, later this word came to be used more widely across Korea and the word came to mean the series of coastal walking paths in Jeju Island. The olle walking paths of Jeju start at the east point of the island and wind their way along the coast all the way to the island’s southwest point. The charms of the olle walking paths are their proximity to nature and the picturesque combination of the blue ocean, dark green forests, and the charming local villages."
so, basically, olle trail ni ade byk giler. dia ialah all those path2 yg x boleh dilalui kereta, it is for access to nature, tepi2 cliff, masuk hutan, and it is almost all over jeju island. we didnot go to all the trails, and the pictures below are one of them.

ahjussi merenung dari kejauhan perangai memasing ni... bosan kot layan kitorg hehehehe

follow the ribbon like this for this trail, katenyer..

++ besiar2 dgn beskal
as mentioned in my 1st entry (1st day in korea|jeju island), olle guesthouse menyediakan beskal for us to ride at our free time. so, today, the 2nd day, after all the visits, we went cycling around olle guesthouse area. bestttttttt gilaaaaaaa dah lama gila kot x naik beskal!
dah la udara sejuk.. x panas. aku ni dgn kain kaftannye nihaaa nek beskal ni.. mmg udara masuk dari kiri kanan atas bawah baju le kan... syokkkk giler.

 ++ mengopi depan rumah
nothing much. monno yg incharge buat kopi & prepare for our teatime petang tu telah tertumpahkan air coffee kat depan pintu masuk.. wahahhahahha.
dia punye panik, korg boleh lah bayangkan, monno kan.
ahjussi, he acted cool and help monno to clean up (padahal mase ni kitorg yg lelain tgh syok gi men beskal ahhahaha kesian monno weh!)
tp lepas tu ahjussi keluar, nak gi emart katenyer, so, kitorg assume ni mesti dia menggalabah lalu pergi beli mop lantai ni ahahhaha sekali lagi monno panik giler.
(actually dia gi beli floor cleaner sembur2 tuh and wipes)hehehe..

++ dinner at home (tiada gambar)
also, as mentioned in my 1st entry (1st day at korea|Jeju Island), we bought instant nasi, so tonite, we had dinner nasik dgn laukpauk yg dibawa & i had chicken instant noodle too hehehe tamak katenyer...
